2009 - Extortion- Change

A review of 2009 reflects several things to take note of as our society continued it's downward spiral. The multiple number of extortion attempts of celebrities which we found out about because they decided to go public with the harmful info, rather than pay, is interesting to consider. Did they decide that they loved their money more than their reputations or was it simply that in our society no one really cares about personal conduct anymore. Reflected by the accepted conduct of a past president who was rewarded with a 2nd term. Public "outrage" over the transgressions of our leaders are now media driven based on whether or not they have correct PC positions.
Voters wanted change for 2009 and they got it as our elected representatives time and again passed bills from Stimulus to Bailouts to Government takeover of Health care that all polls showed that the majority of country did not want but special interest groups did and the wishes of the people were set aside.
Those voted into office to represent the interest of the people usurped the power of their office to push through their own agendas. We have no one to blame but ourselves as we got the leaders we elected & deserve.
The media continues to not only fail to inform the people of what is happening but actually cover-up and allow distortion of what is happening. People asked for change and received the fruit of change, but it is folly to seek change without seeking wisdom first.
I continue to be amazed at the response to Michael Vick as he was released after serving time for involvement in the harsh mistreatment of dogs. Many people do not want to forgive someone who could be so cruel and heartless toward an animal. I read the stories of two different infants who were left outside in cold by their mothers to die if not found by strangers. I read of the continued killing of babies through abortion. I wonder where is the outrage over the mistreatment & murder of our babies if a man receives jail time for killing dogs but there is no punishment for killing babies how long can our society survive.
So for 2009 it may be said that we have sown the wind & reaped the whirlwind.

With Interest I read that one former female partner is suing the birth mother/ex-partner for "parental custody" of the child conceived through unnatural means during time of their "civil union". We have not only the Vermont State Courts to thank for such an idiotic state of affairs, but also those who join them in choosing to idolize their own self thought.

At a time the courts have to endure increasing workloads due to the failure of natural parents to live up to their responsibilities our society now has the added burden of civil unions and loss of reason to the point of not even knowing what marriage is to contend with.
I wonder what has happened to common sense in our country and if wisdom has died in this land. I pray that it has not but in time The Truth will be revealed.
