2011 is here and 2010 has past

2011 begins a new year, 2010 is now history. A time for new resolutions for many. But for most it will be just another year with 2011 added to the date to replace 2010. Many will continue to just past time without a plan, direction, goal or purpose and come 12-31-11 will wonder how the year went by so fast. For many who made their 2010 new years resolution it is now a faded memory. So today while there is time let me suggest several things that can make a real difference in your life and impact those around you.
Commit to getting up earlier and reading at least 2 chapters a day in the Bible starting in Matthew. Spend time in prayer each day asking God for wisdom to understand and apply the truth from His word throughout the day, ask God to work in your life so that He will bless others through you. Make it your goal each day to be used by God to impact at least one person for His glory. Each day let your purpose be to please God and bring honor to Him through Christ Jesus.
Compare everything to the Word of God and remember that if it is what popular culture rather than what God says it is but darkness. Avoid taking personal offense when scripture is the bases for a position that is contrary to what you have been taught in the government run schools. Any thought or position we have that is not based on the Bible is about as useful as glass walls and roof on a house.
Remember it is not about you or me but about God who loved us so much He sent His son to die for our sins. His purpose for our life is for us to obey Him and be a channel of True Blessing to those we come into contact. Few will accept you or your biblical positions but you are not called to be popular but to be salt & light to those who walk in darkness. Remember darkness is an absence of Light and salt when applied is not always welcome. Don't look for an easy path but the straight one luminated by God Himself and 2011 will be your most Blessed year yet.
May God grant you wisdom and boldness as you seek His purpose for your life in 2011.

The First Christmas

1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

And so it was the first Christmas, let us never forget the reason for the season.

Gays in Military

The president of USA with great fanfare signed the repeal of "don't ask don't tell" military policy in effect for about 17 years. Our president(with the help of political progressives in the congress) has made it his mission to reduce the USA from being a super power in world affairs to just a regular class nation. History has shown that every national power that has allowed itself to fall into moral decay has collapsed into 2nd class status or worse. The USA has been on path of steady decline for almost 2 decades. Our military had been hanging on by a thread due to the social experimentation it has had to endure. That thread has now been openly cut and it will be interesting to see not only how long it takes to fall but how far.(We have a good example in looking at the military of Israel who went down this same path.) The legacy of this president will surpass all who have come before and all who follow. He has ruined our economy, destroyed the health care system, bankrupted the nation, destroyed the equal protection provisions of our laws, enslaved our people to a dependency on government programs and for good measure insured the demise of our military. The amazing thing is that he was able to accomplish all this in just 2 years. Now the real problem is that the majority of our elected officials were happy to assist in the national suicide and our people have become so self centered that all they really care about is doing their own thing and did not care until it affected their money. The day grows short and darkness has just about engulfed our land attacking any sources of real light left. If one listens close with discernment they can hear the currently faint sound of taps rolling across our land.
The only hope left is that something will occur to cause our nations people to repent and turn to God before there is no light to show the way. May those who have been changed from the inside out pray that our nation be given a 2nd chance if our people do repent and seek the face of God. Pray!

Only in the good old USA?

Over the past weeks I found it very interesting to hear the politicians and news media along with many average people talking about the extension of the "Bush" tax cuts. The primary focus was that the "rich people" should not be given money that the government needed to spend on it's budget items. Now needless to say the government has no money other than what it takes from the people and there is no giving "rich people" money it is simply not taking as much as they used to take before the cut in tax rates. The cut in income tax rates spurs economic growth since it encourages more people to risk their funds in starting new businesses or investing in established ones which allows businesses to expand and/or modernize so they can continue to operate thereby providing jobs. The other big item was the death tax, whereby the government gets to legally steal most of the inheritance of the deceased persons already taxed assets leaving a few crumbs for the family members. It was not the intent of the deceased to have the government steal and waste the inheritance but for their family to enjoy the benefit of the efforts made to be able to have assets to make life a little better for their loved ones.
It truly does look like commonsense and reason are in short supply in our nation but than again what should we expect when most of our people have been "educated" in government run school systems. The tax cuts were extended but for only two years so the politicians will try again to raise taxes and legally steal not only more of our peoples money but also their self respect. For you see how can anyone have true self respect when they have been made dependent on government programs for every aspect of their life. Well maybe not only in the USA, how does your country stack up?

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Our today for a large part is a result of the decisions that were made yesterday. Just like the choices we make today will affect our tomorrows. If we do not like how things are going for us today then we need to learn from the decisions that have been made that have resulted in the things we do not like about today. In short if we have taken the paths of least resistance trying to get ahead without hard work and looking outside of ourselves for direction we limit what we will accomplish. If we choose to make excuses for our circumstances or blame others than we lock ourselves into tomorrows that will be no better than the today that we do not like.
To have a different tomorrow we need to change our actions today and make decisions that history has shown to work time and time again so there will be no need for excuses tomorrow. However it will take time as there are no quick fixes to overcome the bad decisions made in the past. We have to change direction while still hindered by prior poor choices. With time the ramifications of past decisions will fade. Be patient for in due time the new decisions will overcome the past and we will be on target for a changed tomorrow. A lot of good can be undone much quicker than a little slacking and poor choices.
Commit to take new direction with divine help and Godly counsel to overcome past choices in best time frame possible. Remember will not be easy and time length will be dependent on how far off the past decisions were. As long as there is breath there is hope. The start to a better tomorrow begins with a personal relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ today.

What if..

This post is being written to challenge the reader's thought process as we approach Christmas. As you read ask yourself the question if this is true what should my response be.
JESUS CARES FOR YOU AND HE DIED TO SET YOU FREE. ARE YOU FREE?

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, ....(Titus 3:5)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the Truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by me. (John 14:6)
WHY DID JESUS DIE?
Everyone of us shall give an account of himself unto God. (Romans 14:12)
It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Almost all things are by the law purged with blood and without shedding of blood is no remission. (Hebrew 9:22)
WHAT MUST I DO?
If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:19)
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)
If the son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:26)
BUT?
I tell you, nay: but except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3)
He that believeth on him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God. (John 3:18)
Choose you this day whom ye will serve. (Joshua 24:15)
The choice boils down to either choosing the plan that God has prepared for us so we are no longer controlled by sin and get to spent eternity with him in Heaven. Or we choose not to believe and have to pay the price for our sin which is death and will result in spending eternity separated from God.
Now you may say that you do not believe any of the above and therefore will be okay based on whatever,....but what if you are wrong, do you really want to pay the price. Think about it and why someone like me who does not like to type, would care about where you get to spend eternity when I do not know you and receive nothing except scorn for sharing the above. Go figure and may you come to the Truth.

Two thought processes

If a conservative believes seat belts save lives he wears one while riding in a vehicle.
If a liberal/progressive likes seat belts, he wants laws requiring them and penalties for not doing so.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a liberal/progressive is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative thinks certain foods are not healthy, he does not eat them.
If a liberal/progressive thinks certain foods are not healthy, he tries to have the food banned from restaurants and store shelves.
If a conservative is home schooling his child, he quietly pays his taxes for the public/government school system.
If a liberal/progressive has a child in public/government school, he demands higher taxes and the right to home school chilren be abolished.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he works to better his situation.
A liberal/progressive who is down-and-out wonders what government program is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
But Liberals/progressives demand that those that are not politically correct be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal/progressive non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a false religion, of course!)
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he buys it or finds a job that provides it.
But a liberal/progressive demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a conservative reads this, he'll have a good laugh.
A liberal/progressive will want this censored or deleted because he's "offended" by it.
So if you do not believe this post should be removed you may be a conservative. If you dislike this post pointing out the difference in thought processes between the two, then you are currently a liberal/progressive. Now I used the word currently because I know people can be changed and even if you're a conservative that is not what will matter in eternity. God has a plan for us so we will be able to spend eternity with Him. See John chapter 3 in the Bible to see how to be changed from the inside out.

Time for Thanks

In USA this day is set aside as thanksgiving day and most of retail and commercial businesses are closed along with all levels of government offices. It is nice to take time to reflect on the many things there are to be grateful for. Our nation is still a leader in freedoms enjoyed by our people, we are a nation where no one has to go hungry and shelter is available for all regardless of a lack of financial resources to pay. Health care services are available for all even if unable to pay, free dental clinics abound. Those who have good health, a job, decent housing, investments, savings accounts and private transportation are numerous. Although these things are nice and we should be grateful for them there are other things that are even more important. Our families, freedom to assemble together to worship God, true friends that care about us and that we can call on in time of need. But most of all that God who created us loves us and allowed His son Jesus the Christ to pay the price for our sins so we would not have to and gave a free will to choose to accept or reject His love....Now that is real Love. May all who read this find peace for their journey through life.

Not? Offended...

Have you ever noticed that no one gets offended when someone tries to sell them a product or service. They do not get offended if someone offers them something to drink that could cause them to vomit or have a headache the next morning. They do not get offended when someone offers them something to smoke that could lead to cancer. They do not get offended if a "gay" person demands others accept their lifestyle and pick up the resulting health care tab. They do not get offended when the media makes fun of or puts down a person of faith. They do not get offended by cursing and foul language in public or over the airwaves. They do not get offended by public funds being used to promote anti-family values. They do not get offended by those who would remove the word Christmas and replace it with the holiday season. They do not get offended when Judges do not follow the law they swore to uphold. They are not offended by the debase or crude conduct being accepted in our society.
Their motto is live and let live, everyone should be free to do their own thing with out someone silencing or putting them down. But.............I forgot there is an exception. If you care enough about others to go out of your way to reach out and attempt to help them out of their problems or spend time warning others that there are consequences for life choices... And you do this because you are a follower of the son of God Jesus Christ watch out you will be attacked, put down, laughed at, scorned, shouted down or otherwise silenced no matter the cost. The darkness that surrounds our time has become so thick that few what to hear about Light for living their lives and even fewer look for the Light so they may see. Many believe and place their hope in the darkness, they do not want to hear, see or be challenged by Truth or what is to come..... Ever wonder why that is?

What is real Love

Love is always kind, is not jealous nor does it brag. Love is not prideful, arrogant, self-serving or rude. Love is not irritable, selfish, and does not hold grudges. Love is not easily offended or demand to have its own way. Love is patient and always is willing to give the benefit of any doubt rather than be offended. Love regrets any injustice and rejoices when truth prevails. Love bears all, is full of hope, faith and trust in that which is right.
Love will never fail or die, it is unchanging and forever. When all is lost, Love will still be available for it can not be lost. Faith Hope and Love are all gifts from God and will sustain all who embrace them. May you experience and your life be full of real Love. To know God is to know real Love.

Election is over now what

Many are excited by the big gains by GOP in national elections, but reality is all they can do is slow down the march to socialism. With senate still controlled by Dems, the President will not allow any undoing of the last couple of years of government take over of much of the private sector. Those who continue to place their faith in political leaders for real change and a turn around in the job and housing market will be disappointed. The next thing that can not be avoided is inflation which will only add misery to those who managed to escape the current hard times, while doubling down on those who are already in financial hard times. So what is left do we just give up and accept the fall into a second rate country. There is another choice which is that we finally humble ourselves and pray seeking God and turn from our wicked ways. Then God will hear and forgive our sin and heal our land. Hope is within reach but humbling ourselves before God will not be easy for a nation who has worked so hard to remove knowledge of God from our society. Not to late yet but will be sooner than we think. Seek God now while there is still time that our land may be healed.

Election hope?

USA is facing midterm elections and people are fired up, with many hoping to undo the mistakes of the last two elections. They are hoping for some more change to replace the change that has been endured since the last election. The real problem is the basic selfishness of the majority of the people, too many want change that will not affect them, just the neighbors. This attitude has resulted in the death of reason and commonsense. Our people have turned from God and now look to political leaders to solve our problems. The heart of the matter is that it is the political leaders along with the me first attitude that has brought us record unemployment, debt and an economy on the verge of collapse. Gay marriage and gays openly serving in military are not the problem but just some symptoms of the spiritual darkness of our time. Those who place their hope in the elections rather than repenting and turning to God will reap more disappointments and change that will not correct our nations slide into the mutually shared poverty that is socialism. Our people do need to vote but they also must pray for God to heal our land so that we can again become a land of hope and a light for the rest of the world. Real hope is in God alone through Jesus the Christ.

G is now misnomer

I read a blog recently from outside the USA which contained a comment that appeared to reflect the problem in society today no matter the nation. He was blogging regarding a Judge in USA lowest court that ruled that the US military had to allow any "gay" members to openly live their lifestyle. Needless to say he and the judge if not homosexual personally now, were at the least considering that conduct for themselves. The statement he made that reflected the problem with our society was that - since there had not been any sexual orgies by the gays already in the US military that allowing them to serve openly encouraged would not be any problem. What he missed in his point was that the reason that there had not been any issue under the current military policy was most likely due to the fact if they were involved in any orgies they would be dismissed from the military for violating the current military standards. If the policy is changed then they would be free to have the sexual orgies in the barracks without fear of any ramifications. The main thing that would be accomplished would be to turn the US military into a second rate military power like the armed forces of the various nations especially in Europe who do allow homosexuals to openly practice their lifestyles. This includes GB of which the G is a misnomer not only with the military but with the nation as a whole. Whatever is sowed will be reaped and when history is revised rather than learned from it will be repeated. When one is blinded by their ideology, reason and commonsense can not be seen or even found. All that is left is the fall.

Final Season

Have you ever thought about the phrase "for a season". Seasons normally refer to a space of time and we are living through time. Our time will run into eternity and cannot go any further, because eternity never ends. Until we get to eternity we will go through different seasons of life. There will be seasons of joy, seasons of good health, seasons of sorrow, seasons of health challenges, and there will be seasons that seem to just fly by in a blur. We all will encounter different seasons at different times as we journey the seasons of our life. The seasons for some will be rougher than those of others but all will have some rough seasons. We rarely control the time or season but how we react to and what we learn from passing through each season is up to us. Choices will need to be made when all is said and done. We can turn to God who created us and showed His love for us by allowing His son Jesus the Christ to die for our sin. We can blame God for our problems or deny that he exist until our time passes into eternity. The victory cannot be won in our journey through the seasons of our life when we try to do it our way. All who live will soon have their time pass into eternity and the key is to be prepared before the final season of our life.

A sound many will not hear

There is a sound to come that will resound around the world and be heard by people in every nation. The sound will be that of a trumpet played from the heavens and pierce the air so that all who hear will hear it at the same time. Those for who it sounds will hear it whether awake or asleep. They will hear it even if they work in the deep mines or in submarines deep in the ocean. Those for who it sounds will not miss the trumpets call and will be carried away by the sound thereof. But even more will not hear even when those around them are responding to the trumpet sound. They will not know nor would they believe if told that it is the ordered trumpet call. Those who are prepared will hear and be caught up never looking back. While those who were not ready did not hear and will not understand what has happened to cause so many disappearances. The media and government officials will try to spin what has happened while working to take advantage of the crises. They will be celebrating the fact that most of those known to be gone were those who opposed their policies. One world government finally obtained thanks to the sudden disappearance of several million people from all around the world.
It is but the beginning of the end and that which is to come in a seven year period will take those who were not ready on a journey that will determine the final outcome for their life. Truth will be in short supply and attacked with a violence that is uncontrollable for the seven years. That which appears to be so sweet at beginning of the seven will turn to bitterness before the end thereof.
The key is to be ready so you will hear when the trumpet sounds. Do you have ears to hear?

Payday

Fall has arrived and with it the welcome cooler weather and a change in color for the landscape. Football is in full swing and tailgate parties along with backyard barbecues abound. Schools and Colleges are creating extra learning opportunities with test, and reports to prepare. There is a time and season for everything and now seems to be the time of doing our own thing and seeking our own way. It has been foretold that this time would come when people would run here and there and back again with knowledge increasing but wisdom departing from our time. Everyone is busy and harried with the stress of life which they complain about while life flies by with no thought of that which was, is, and still to come. We work for the payday and payday is surly coming.
The question is will you be ready for the final payday that is to come.
Think about what you are working toward so there will be no surprise when you do go to your final retirement place.

Spin, Distoration and Lies

In USA free speech is coming to mean lies, distortion and spin. Truth is in short supply especially when it comes to the current administration and the in charge political party. With news media looking the other way or even worst eagerly spreading the distortions and lies. A government who passed health care saying it was not a tax and then when the bill is challenged in court, turning around and claiming it is a tax and therefore legal. A government who will sue its own citizens rather than enforcing laws intended to protect those same citizens. A corrupting of the legal process, and a media that has partnered in the crime against the people. Legal theft on behalf of those who will not but forth the effort needed to succeed at the expense of a system that has allowed the most people in history of the world to move not only above poverty levels but become wealthy and able to provide for their families without government assistance. Maybe that is part of the problem the elites and progressives can not abide not being able to control the lives of others. They want to be the parents of society so they desire to control what we eat, how we think, where we live, how we travel, what kind of toilet we have, the paper we use, how much electricity we consume, etc. But note that none of these things apply to them just the rest of us, you know the helpless, mindless mass of humanity. The really sad thing is so many have believed their lies it may be to late to turn around before we slid over the cliff of no return. Time will tell, pray there is time left to turn back.

A Different War .....

Warfare continues unabated between the forces of Darkness and that of the Light. A war like no other with principalities, powers, and authorities in high places. Life itself hangs in the balance. The war has indeed been enjoined with no one exempt, yet many do not even realize that they are a part of the battle between that which is holy and that which is unholy even the dark evil when fully exposed. Many prefer to stick their head in the proverbial sand and continue to dwell on the debase, profane thoughts of the society. They walk in a manner that seems right in their own eyes and care little for holy living or things, deciding to just deny truth since it is not convenient. Not wanting to change sides in the war as that would require an active involvement and result in a lifestyle of being different from the societal norms. Plus the forces of darkness do not follow any rules in the war, therefore they are free to lie, deceive, cheat and destroy at will. The forces of light have a rule book which they must follow resulting in a seemingly huge disadvantage to overcome. The followers of the Light stick out by talking and living different from those around them that serve the dark forces.
However in spite of the disadvantage of following set rules of engagement the followers of the Light have some advantages which include being given peace with joy even in harsh circumstances and strength for the journey through life by the indwelling Spirit of God. But the major difference is that once a person repents of their sin asking forgiveness of God through faith in Jesus Christ the only begotten son of God they are changed from the inside out. Once changed they are given light so they are protected from the forces of darkness never to be overcome thereby again. The rules are written by God on their hearts and minds for all eternity. Life is short and eternity is forever. All are either in the Light or still walk in the Darkness. The key is we all started being a part of the forces of darkness and therefore must choose to join the forces of the Light.
What have you decided?
Staying in the darkness or switching to the Light is a choice that will decide not just how you live now but where you will spend eternity. Choose wisely while there is still time.

Pondoring 9-11

When you think of Hitler and Stalin, evil and hate are the adjectives that quickly come to mind for an informed person. As one reflects on 9-11-01 and the events of that day the same thoughts also come to mind when thinking of those who planned, trained or carried out the attacks of that day. It was not the first mass murders carried out by the devote followers of Islam and have not been the last, just the largest murders of innocent people since Hitler and Stalin committed their mass murders using their followers. Those murders were committed because they did not believe in God and the murders carried out by the followers of Islam are because of following a false god. The teachings of Islam when followed leads to the murder of all who do not believe and follow the Islam way, which boils down to the only way to insure reward after death is to kill in the name of Allah to uphold the teaching of Islam. That is why you always see rejoicing instead of remorse after random acts of murder against innocents in the streets of the countries that have a large percentage of Muslims. Now those who are not devote adherents to the teaching of Islam but moderate the teachings are not the problem since they are not the true believers.
Now if you look at Christianity you will find some who also have committed murders and claimed to be followers of Christ but the Bible teaches loving even ones' enemy and turning the other cheek to those who strike you. Those who are not true believers and do not follow the teachings of Christ commit the murders. Compare the real followers of Jesus the Christ who give to help others even those who are not believers and know that the Bible teaches that even to hate someone is same as murder to God. Now the Bible teaches that murderers can be forgiven the same as with other sins, but that to enter Heaven you must repent and be changed from inside out as no murder, adulterer, etc can enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible clearly states that some that committed murder, adultery, etc, will get to enter Heaven because they did repent of their sins and are no longer apart of that lifestyle. You see the true followers of Christ have been freed from the chains of Satan and no longer follow his dark path of deception because they have seen the Light and accepted the Truth that God has provided in the Bible. What about you, have you repented and allowed God to change you so you may live free in the Light?

There will be no excuses or exceptions since Jesus the Christ died for our sins so we would not have to pay the price, but the choice to accept or not is ours.

Hope or Despair.....

The choice is ours to make, although help is available. As you go from blog to blog or even in your everyday encounters with people you usually will find a attitude of hope or one of despair. Within despair you find one who has no hope for a better day to come and someone who spends to much time dwelling on themselves and what they think they deserve compared to others. Within hope you find either false hope that is plugged into self-sufficiency or real hope based on faith and Truth in that which is eternal. Despair will drag one down until it destroys. False hope blinds until it to destroys its carrier. Then there is real hope found in the truths that God has given us in the Bible, hope that uplifts the spirit and refreshes those we come into contact with. This the hope that never fails and gives us strength to stand while those around us are blown about with the latest fad or current PC thought. May you plug into real hope and be able to stand in the tough times to come.

Consider

Something to consider about faith in the God who loves us and allowed His son to die for the payment of our sins.
Faith without action is useless.
Action without faith just passes time.
Faith with action will change the world.
Now first question is do you have faith?
But the important question is do you have action faith?
It is written that faith without works is dead.
Therefore it is faith with works that is alive.
May you come to have an alive faith in God.
Do you want to have an alive faith?
Then you must spend time each day in Bible study and prayer.
Trust God to direct your life and your growing action faith will impact this world for positive change.
Choose to become an agent of change for these latter days.

Your purpose

As we move into the fall season and the resolutions of the summer become faded memories.(The plan to exercise more and complete all those special projects, etc.) So today while there is time let me suggest several things that can make a real difference in your life and impact those around you.
Commit to getting up 30 minutes earlier and reading at least 2 chapters a day in the bible starting in Matthew. Spend remainder of time in prayer asking God for wisdom to understand and apply the truth revealed throughout the day, ask God to work in the lives of those you know so that He may be able to bless them. If you have not yet asked God to forgive your sins and transform your life make that your first priority then let your goal each day to be used by God to impact at least one person for His glory. Each day let your purpose be to please God and bring honor to Him through Christ Jesus.
Compare everything to the Word of God and remember that if it is what we think rather than what God says it is but a shadow. Avoid taking personal offense when scripture is the bases for a position that is contrary to what we believe. Any idea we have that is not based on the Bible is like the wind, here for a while and then gone not to be seen or heard.
Remember it is not about us but about God who loved us so much He sent His son to die for our sins. His purpose for our life is for us to obey Him and be a channel of Blessing to those we interact with each day. Most will not accept you or biblical truth but be a lighthouse to those around you. Darkness is an absence of Light and some like to hide in the dark so light is not always welcome. Don't look to be a follower for those who walk in the night but walk in the light of God Himself and the rest of this year will become filled with light for your life.
May God grant you wisdom and boldness as you seek His purpose as you travel through this life in these latter times.

One, Two or Three

Ever have a bad hair day or know someone who has..what are the choices they face and things that must be considered. Usually a time assessment must be made and then depending on time available a course of action is taken. Consider the 3 choices that can be made...one is to do nothing just face up to fact all will see the unacceptable hair and just suck it up and go with flow...two is to attempt a cover up and wear a hat/cap that will make the bad hair less noticeable. Three is take time to wash and redo the hair so it will pass muster without shame or hoping to hide the hair problem. Now think about it what really is the big deal anyway if only problem is the hair at least have hair to work with and others do not have to look at the hair as they should mind their own business anyway. So really should be no big deal that you are giving most important speech of your life to the largest most important group you will ever address and the speech is being web-cast around the world. Okay so most would think should be considered mega big deal. Would this affect our decision as to which choice we would choose to make. Only the third choice is sensible as really the only right choice. Now that we have figured that out lets look at another choice.
No one is perfect and everyone has sinned and broken the Law of God so what are our choices for the sin problem. One we can do nothing and hope that when we die God will not notice or care that we have not kept His commandments. Two try to make our sin less noticeable by having argument ready that compared to many others our sins really were not that bad. Three we can study the Bible to find out what God expects from us and how we can have our sins washed away so when we stand before He will see no sin since the sin problem has been cleared up. Now think about the first two choices and how foolish they are when thinking about standing in front of a Holy God who allowed His son Jesus the Christ to die for our sins so we would not have to pay the price. Only the third choice is sensible one as it accepts the payment made by Jesus as provided by God so we can be cleansed from our sin and free to enter into Heaven for eternity. The Bible shows us how to prepare for our meeting with God but the choice is ours. Consider well your choice for God will honor your choice for all eternity. Time is short start by first checking out book of John in the Bible, while there is still time to change current decision. With the final breath the decision becomes locked in for all eternity. Can not afford to choose 1 or 2 and be wrong about the Bible being the word of God.

Those who shout down opposing positions will become self-deluded.
Those who seek to be rich will live a life of discontentment.
The friends of the rich will disappear when they become poor.
The friends of the poor will be a help in the time of need.
Quick gain is but a step from a quicker loss.
Truth is always true and a lie is always false.
Those who desire a life full of pleasure will have an empty life.
Those who desire to be a blessing to others will have a full life.
Those who believe they are god will not know God.
Those who live to drink will die of thirst.
To be strong one must become weak.
To be found one must be lost.
Without hope there is no victory.
Without God there is no eternal life.
Without Jesus there is no forgiveness.
Without the Bible there is no knowledge of Truth.
Without light there is only darkness.
To be truly free one must first become a servant.
Eternal life is free just not cheap.
To remove the penalty of sin a price must be paid.
To find Life is to know Jesus Christ as Lord.
Think about it.

Being Happy

Who really controls your happiness when things get tough or just hectic, seemingly out of control circumstances that constantly come your way. Many think they are or become unhappy because of the actions of those around them which may or may not be considered self directed me first or nothing attitudes. The failure to be happy may be considered by some to be the result of hard financial times, the failure to be hired for employment we really wanted or thought we should have gotten. For some not being popular with a lot of friends or party invites is the result of bad or lacking parents or just hard knocks of life. To others it is the failure of their spouse, boy or girl friend to meet their expectations that is cause of unhappiness. Not making enough money or having the right job title is source of unhappiness according to some. For many they could be happy if ... they had right job, large enough bank account, right spouse, right friends, right boyfriend, right girlfriend, large home in good neighborhood, fancy new automobile, and rich parents. For others it would be no problems, no debt, being able to afford any thing they wanted when they wanted it, vacations around the world, or just a vacation home at the beach. Now you might find something listed that you think would ensure your happiness now and over time, however if you look around or read the news you will find that those who are super rich, famous, hold positions of prestige or power have lots of problems and are most often unhappy insecure people. So lets consider the basics, being happy long term is not the result of ones circumstances, it has to be something else. When you find someone who is truly a happy person you have found someone who has decided to be content with what they have regardless of their circumstances. It is when we learn to be content with what we have rather than dwelling on what we do not have, that we can obtain a life of happiness that can not be taken from us no matter what comes our way. The path to true happiness lies in knowing God and His love for us as shown by His son Jesus the Christ paying the price for our sins and accepting by faith His plan for our life which is able to bring us blessing now and forever. Make study of the Bible and time of prayer the 1st part of your day and you will be on path to real happiness. Contentment is best learned through a personal relationship with God. May you find true happiness for your life.

Backwards?

US Senate has approved a new member for the Supreme Court. All the evidence shows she will take an oath to uphold the US Constitution by placing her hand on the Bible and then disregard that sworn oath. She does not accept the Bible as word of God and thinks the Constitution should be seen only as a changing guideline. When the foundation for a society and its laws are undermined openly there is little left but the inevitable break down of law and order. This can be seen in many facets of the lawlessness that is spreading through out the country. Prime examples are in illegal immigration where the federal government sued a State for upholding the requirements of article VI of US Constitution. This article expressly requires the police power of every state to enforce the laws of the US federal government. The Federal government in this case sued the state for enforcing federal law as required while at same time has taken no action against cities who openly state they will not enforce the US immigration laws. The result has been violence and lawlessness in the streets with worst areas being the states on US southern border. Another example is with homosexuals who openly flaunt their lifestyle and demand everyone else approve their perverse actions by requiring that marriage be redefined. They demand that all citizens pay the cost for their expensive destructive conduct and openly attack any who dare speak up to point out the negative impact on our society from their chosen behavior. Children are at the greatest risk as the government schools have become not only the recruiting grounds for homosexuals but the labs to produce more homosexuals. Physical violence and intimidation are their trademark when the courts do not move quick enough to overturn laws passed to uphold Constitution and protect the rights of our people. The question remains how much longer can the US survive the onslaught directed against her from the elites and progressives who seek to tun off the light. The light has grown dim who will stand up against the forces of darkness to fight to retain the light. Will you?

Distortion or Deception or Both......

Do you ever wonder how some people can respond to a question or issue without answering the question or actually addressing the issue. If anyone points out that their response was off point they simply say that they did answer and the questioner did not understand or something similar thereto. It should be an insult to all listening when someone tries to evade answering then attempts to cover their deliberate evasion, but the fact is we now have a lazy weak minded society that does not know how to analysis information, therefore they do not realize they are being deceived. If you do not have the ability or intelligence to figure out you are being played then you can not be offended. Then you will not take any action to counter the distortions and smoke being proffered by liberals and those in the progressive movement. They realize their ideas can not stand up to the test of truth or history, so they resort to lies and deception knowing that those in the media are on their side and will not expose them and their cohorts in the government school systems who have taught the lies and distorted the facts to a whole generation, so they are now unable to think critically and except the untruths they have learned. When a lie is heard over and over with little challenge it all too often becomes excepted as a fact although it is still a lie.
It has been said that those who do not find the truth and then stand up for that truth will fall for anything. Take a hard look at our society and you will see the basis for this adage. If you now wonder why no examples have been listed to reflect what is being referred to, the answer is actually pretty simple. Those who need the examples are not yet ready to see or understand and those who are ready do not need the examples because they have already sensed that the truth is being distorted. This is to encourage the latter group to find the truth and then stand up for the truth no matter what may come, the former group must first decide they want to see and put in the work required to overcome their blindness. Those who see must stand up and make a difference!

DOES NOT ADD UP....

There has been increase in attacks on Christian prayer in last couple of years esp. in the USA. An all out attempt to outlaw any public prayer that is Christian, which has included the firing of workers for praying over a co-workers area after hours when the co-worker was not present. Christian prayer before public meetings that have occurred since the nation was founded are suddenly being found unlawful by many judges. Intimidation tactics have been employed by atheist groups like ACLU and ASCS are leading the charge, they have no problem with prayers in general, only prayers which are prayed through the name of Jesus Christ. With atheism being the belief that there is no God, you would assume that what others did would be of little concern if there was in fact no God. Throughout history you can find examples of prayer being outlawed or restricted along with other attempts to control religious thought. Communist countries along with Islamic nations have been the latest using harsh tactics including death to stop christian prayer and adherence. Now the free countries are moving to restrict same while becoming more open to religions that would enslave women and eliminate all who oppose their rule. The question one should ask is why does it bother someone who claims to be an atheist if someone prays. If there is no God, then prayer would just be empty words spoken in the wind. Another question should be why no real concern of prayer unless it is a Christian prayer using name of Jesus Christ. Looking at these 2 questions unless blind and brain dead you must come to conclusion that they not only know there is a God but that He is also the God of the Bible. God says He will hear and answer the request of those who love Him and make their request to Him in the name of Jesus. Now there are two ways we can know for sure that there is a God, one is by God revealing Himself to us through repentance and faith in Jesus death burial and resurrection. Second way the Bible tells us is that Satan the prince of darkness and the father of liars, believes and reveals the same to those who follow him. All others he seeks to deceive using their unbelief and the pride of life to distract them from the truth that one day everyone will have to pay for their on sin if they have not accepted Christ payment for that sin. All will choose and the failure to choose or making wrong choice will have same result of no forgiveness and joining Satan and his followers in eternal separation from God and His loving light forever. It is written that darkness, weeping, gnashing of teeth, worms that do not die with tormenting heat await all who will not accept the payment of their sins by Jesus the son of God. Life is short but eternity is forever, choose well for God will honor your choice. May you count yourself worthy of forgiveness and faith.

BOTH WRONG

Sports have long been held up as good way to keep kids out of trouble and teach values that will help through out life. Somewhere along the way something got flipped and no one paid much notice or just did not care. Think about the following everyday happenings.
Watching kids playing in a sports game and you will notice that the parents tend to be a little crazy. Yelling at officials and coaches alike if disagree with a game decision. There seem to be two main groups of parents, one that believes in win at any cost and the second is almost as bad teaching that it does not matter how you play as long as you have fun since no one should feel bad and all should be rewarded the same win or lose. The win at any cost crowd want the increased prestige & money/opportunities that come with winning. We see this in to many of to-days political leaders as they believe everything is about them and the rules they put in place only apply to the regular people not them or those wealthy individuals who help them stay in power. The other group seem to want everyone to have not the same opportunity for success but to receive the same rewards regardless of efforts or applied abilities.
Ask yourself would you really want to play a game with someone who breaks the rules(cheats) to "win" the game or someone who puts forth no effort and does not care about outcome. Both make the game worthless and waste of your time.
Remember the old saying of - cheaters never win and winners never cheat -. We now have to many that believe - get ahead at any cost and winning is all that matters- as you only go around in this life once so get all you can anyway you can since no one is more important than yourself. The other group worships under banner of 'from each according to ability to pay and to each according to their need regardless of effort. This is no more than legalized stealing and leads to mutually shared poverty.
With the win at any cost mentality why do we wonder at corrupt elected officials, corporate greed, tax cheats, embezzlement, employee thief, shoplifting, insurance fraud, crooked repair shops, fraud & abuse of government service programs, etc. When combined with those who believe in legalized stealing is it any wonder that we are facing financial, moral and social collapse
Now you have an idea of why belief in evolution is so important in our society, it is a very disturbing thought that we were created by God. Since if we were we would have to answer to Him for failure to follow His law and the accepting of Jesus Christ His son's payment for our sins.
An unacceptable thought for any who have not studied the Bible to determine how to have a personal relationship with God through His son Jesus.
The stakes can get no higher than to reject the Bible as God's word and not find out until to late that wrong decision was made.

Protecting the Guilty

Laws that prohibit the execution of anybody with low IQ's, as tested by court appointed doctors or otherwise reduce punishment based on notion that crime is victims fault. Now just watch for those who are smart enough to lower their IQ score to escape justice. Elected "representatives" never cease to surprise me and amazing how we continue to find so many people lacking common sense to vote into office. My thought is that there must me a test given to those who seek elected office which test for common sense or wisdom and only those who fail are allowed to run for office. I also wonder if the same test is used when appointing judges.
If you are killed by someone who scores low on IQ test rather than by someone who scores higher must mean you are not as dead or injured to their way of thinking. What a republic to give so much opportunity to those who could not make an honest living, they are allowed to leech off of hardworking honest citizens.
It appears that there are more protections for the guilty than for the innocent and the courts have become the safe haven for child molesters, sexual deviants, murders, etc. unless of course they are not a part of PC crowd. Then amazingly the law seems to work okay. And now in the USA the blindfold has been taken off of lady justice. The government withdraws charges in voter intimation case which included video evidence, only reason dropped was skin color of the criminal. Ever notice that innocent until proven guilty works best for those with money or position. How about the tax laws where the adage changes to guilty until proven innocent. What have we allowed our Country to become?

Violation of Their Oath

Trouble ahead for USA. In recent years the 9 members of the US Supreme Court have increasingly decided important cases by 5 to 4 votes. We must ask how can this be when each was required to take an oath to uphold the US Constitution when deciding the cases that come before them. Either some of the Justices are ignorant of the Constitution and the intent of the framers of that document or they are deliberately
violating their oath in an attempt to destroy that which they swore to uphold. But regardless of the motivation of those who violate their sworn duty it is becoming clear that the end result will be the same. No nation can survive when it's foundation has been destroyed, all that remains will be distrust in the government and anarchy with civil war in the streets. Votes now being cast by 4 members of the court use current PC thought, the world court and personal biases in casting their vote to decide cases and are even so brazen as to include same in the dissenting opinion from the majority vote. At times they have been able to get the 5th vote necessary to prevail and openly listed reasons in the ruling opinion that are contrary to the Constitution that the decision was suppose to be based upon.
Once the 5th and final member needed has been added to the Court, only hope would be impeachment of the Justices for violating their sworn oath to uphold the Constitution. However this will not be likely since those voting to confirm adding these activist Justices to the court are not likely to turn around and vote for their impeachment. Therefore we will be left with no foundation for our laws and the freedoms that have made the USA a safe haven for the worlds oppressed. Then it will be hello violence and upheaval, goodbye peace and freedom. The progressives have undermined our nation and are awaiting the funeral of this Republic. Are you ready for that which is to come and the troubled dark times. The hour is late but there is a little life left. If you do not want to witness the funeral then now is the time to speak up, get involved, and pray for national repentance so that God will intervene. Wake up before it is to late!

Lighthouse

Happiness and peace will become the companion of all who refuse to follow the advice of the wicked while not allowing themselves to be followers of those who love sin while scorning those who try to live in a righteous manner. Those who delight in the things of God and reflect on His word continuity will find an oasis of calm in a sea of hopeless turmoil. God will prosper those who follow His path for their life and no matter what they face they will not be shaken nor moved like a ship at anchor. Those who will not acknowledge God are not so, but are more like dust blown about by the wind of societal change and with no anchor there is no calmness of spirit. Peace becomes a moving target for all who heed the current babble of the progressives. Those who chose to live by the selfish standards of mankind will find themselves lost in an ocean of despair with no ground for relief. God knows the way of those who seek Him in righteousness and they follow His Light so they do not fall in the trenches of this world. However God also knows the way of the ungodly and that their way leads to pain and needless sorrow of spirit. He shines His light into the darkness like a lighthouse gives warning of danger to be avoided. You are the captain of your ship and the choice to heed the light or deny its warning is yours to make. Those who will accept the warning and turn from the danger, avoid being shipwrecked and sunk for all eternity. Find Hope for your journey through this life in the Bible, it is the only way to know the Truth. May you find the anchor for your life in Jesus the Christ who paid the price for sin so we would not have to. He is the Light, may you walk in that Light.

No leadership

Oil continues to gush into the USA Gulf Coast area, fouling everything it touches. Death and Destruction are visible on every side. Now for over 60 days the onslaught has continued and one must wonder how much longer before it can be stopped. A look at the US government response is eye opening. The main actions taken are lot of hot air and getting lawyers involved to see who can be held accountable along with possible criminal charges. The offers from other nations willing to help ignored or just refused. Blaming BP for problem and strong arming them into setting up fund to pay damage claims run by the government seems to be the priority. Now nothing wrong with making sure damages are taken care of BUT the focus needs to be an all hands on deck approach in working to stop the oil from continuing to flow before it starts to cause damage to other nations and destroys ocean eco system for years to come. The sad thing is that the US government encouraged the deep water drilling with no viable data in how to handle a ruptured pipe problem at such a depth. Now we have the problem and no workable plan to fix in a reasonable time frame. No leadership from Washington DC and BP with out the power and resources needed to fix before it became a major problem. The one time a problem is large enough to actually need government to step in to coordinate the containment and clean up effort and all we get is talk about paying for damages and who should be blamed. There is a time for everything and now is the time for action to stop the flow of oil and after that has happened THEN it will be time for blame, investigations, liability, and paying for the damages. If the government cannot answer the bell for this issue how can it be trusted to run the health care system effectively for over 300 million people. Another nightmare waiting to happen. We vote in those who have not only no experience in the real world but no clue as to how to lead in a critical time. Is it any wonder why excuses seem to be the rule of the day by those who are blinded by their ideology even while walking in darkness. Interesting times are upon us indeed.

Costly choice

I was once offered some free stuff by my neighbor, told him thanks but did not really need. Talked me into it he did. Could make use of it although did not need or have to have. So took the stuff off of his hands and used it. My reason for taking was that it was not costing me anything and could find use for it, what could possibly be wrong with something free and helping neighbor out at same time. Everyone else would have thought the same, what crazy person would turn down something free that they could use even if not needed. Well, I wish that crazy person had been me as the result of taking and using the free stuff it ended up costing me $800+. Not my neighbors fault as he was basically blind to the issue & did not know or think about any possible ramifications for me. I will not make that mistake again or anything close as since that time I check out more then just that an item is free. I look at from as many sides as I can to find any cost or issues that others may have missed and to make sure that I can afford if wrong to pay any possible cost. The good news for me is that in this case the lesson learned was a matter of inconvenience, somewhat expensive and of no lasting harm. I live on with a life lesson learned that all things free are not always without cost. Now you may ask what on earth brought that life lesson to this blog. Think about this how many people live their lives by their own standards. They dismiss as fairy tales anything that indicates that there might be a Creator God who we will have to answer to after our final breath is taken. The problem here is simple, The Bible tells us that God loves us and His son Jesus the Christ died for our sins so we would not have to pay the price. All we have to do is repent and accept the payment for our sin, allowing God to change us from the inside out. Some will say that this is just a fairy tale they can not accept, even if it was not based on Jewish old testament and the new testament that God also used Jews to pen. Anti-Semites do not judge themselves worthy simply because of dislike for Jews and some Jews do not count themselves worthy simply because the price was also paid for Gentiles. (Go figure!)
Now let us consider the matter if the Bible is correct and everyone will have to pay price for their sins for all eternity. The choice becomes to pay the required price personally or to accept the payment that God prepared for those who will repent and humble themselves by acknowledging that they need the Savior. So the question remains what is the cost of being wrong and can you afford it. If the Bible is not the word of God and therefore a fairy tale you will have no problem. However if Bible is in fact the word of God and you choose not to believe then the price will be paid for all eternity with no second chance. My mistake was not to count all possible cost in my decision to take the free stuff and therefore I have no one to blame but me for the price I ended up paying for wrong choice. At least when I made the wrong decision the cost was limited in scope and duration. You can not afford to let others talk you into a choice that is unlimited in cost and duration as eternity is forever. Consider the ultimate cost is your soul and where you will have to spend eternity. You will have no one to blame if you choose wrong just as I could not blame my neighbor for my wrong choice. The ultimate choice was mine to make. You will make the ultimate choice of accepting or rejecting what the Bible tells us is God's requirement to spend eternity in Heaven. Count the total cost and at least you will not be surprised. God has said you are worthy of receiving payment for your sin, are you willing to accept the Truth.

Free Choice

Do you really believe you have freedom of choice and responsibility for your decisions. Think about driving a car without a government issued permit or not wearing your seat belt or talking on a cell phone or riding a motorcycle without an approved helmet. You will find if pulled over that the ticket will not be free as you will get to pay a fine for your "free" choice. A law that is intended to force you to avoid the risk of extra injuries in a crash if you make the wrong choice and decide to not wear a seat belt or helmet. There are laws to restrict how you can develop your own property, even when it does not interferes with your neighbors property. If the government decides it wants your home or land it will condemn it and take it by force paying you whatever it decides to assign as it's value. Social security tax is used to force you to save for retirement. Then Government spends it rather than investing it for the stated retirement.
Government passes health care laws that require everyone to get health insurance whether you want it or not and then controls access to the care. However if you are in the country illegally you do not have to worry as you do not have to pay or be a part of financing the system. Speech has become a restricted freedom unless you hold PC views, speech based on the Bible or books based on its teachings are about the only speech that it is banned from the Public discourse.
But do not to worry it is still okay to kill a baby as long as you pay someone else to do it for you. However a Doctor or Hospital that chooses not to be involved in the murder of babies will face loss of funding and sanctions.
For senior citizens it has become a dangerous time for them with government controlled health care decisions using age based factors in cost analysis in order to control cost. But again no need to worry they will continue to approve the medical cost of killing the babies using the money saved from denial of real medical treatment to seniors and those with permanent disabilities.
Watch for more use of the tax laws and enforcement using the tax enforcement agencies to limit real freedom of choice in the coming years.
Voting alone is not enough you must start putting people in office whose primary concerns are the freedom of our people, rather than those who would enslave us to their paternal worldview. How much Freedom do you really have when you disagree with the PC crowd who are bend on insuring all nations become like third world countries. The Hour is late but there still is hope if you will walk out of the dark fog and become a source of light to help others escape the fog. Are you willing to become a light?

Faith of an Atheist.....

How about the self proclaimed Atheist, with all of the knowledge available today, I will quickly admit I did not have enough faith to be an atheist. The big bang just didn't get it for me. Even grade school kids know there are trillions of stars most larger than our sun and even if the stars didn't have planets revolving around them it would defy all reason to believe they happened from a "big bang" or just by some random chance. If one is educated just on how physical sight occurs it would take a miracle amount of faith to accept it happened by pure random chance. But I guess some people would believe you could put all the parts of a watch in a box and given enough "time" it would start telling time.(Now where did all those parts come from to put in the box?) Bottom line is this if Atheist are right and I am wrong in allowing God to have changed me, it would be no big deal for me, as would just end up like them, as worm food, however if Bible is the word of God then I get to spend eternity in Heaven and the Atheist and non believers .... well you might want to spend a lot of time praying that you are are not wrong as life is short and eternity is forever. I would suggest you might want to read the Bible again so at least you will not be surprised when you die and face judgment at the hand of God who has informed us that we get a choice between 2 locations for all eternity. One being Heaven where He abides and the other Hell where Satan will be dwelling for eternity. Know that God was the one who allowed His son Jesus the Christ to die for our sins so we would not have to pay the price ourselves and have to spend eternity in the place created for Satan along with his followers. You know the God who you denied even exist. The stakes can be no higher.. choose well since unlike those who have accepted the paid price you can not afford to be wrong. If you choose to reject the gift of forgiveness study the Bible well so you will know what eternity will be like for you if you are wrong. May you choose well as your choice will be honored for all eternity.

High Cost of Care

A hot topic has become Health care and the need to make changes because of skyrocketing cost some nations already ration care for those who need it most. So let us consider some the problems. I am not talking about new ways to feed the health care system beast that is national health care. We need to start with one of the most obese societies in the world and the foundation is solid. We still have a high percentage of smokers, consumers of alcohol and other drugs. Sexually transmitted diseases of all types. We must not leave out the most expensive over the last 30 years in HIV/AIDS brought to us primarily through the "gay" lifestyle. By the way remember that little lie that what adults do in the privacy of their own home doesn't hurt anyone. Therefore it should not be a concern and is not anyone's business including the government. Well a half trillion dollars later and still climbing in the USA alone the public still believes the media supported lie that the gay lifestyle does not affect anyone else.
We live in a society that wants to pop a pill for every health issue they encounter. Those who are not indulging in fleshly desires but attempting to live healthy lifestyles by watching what they eat, living moral lives are expected to cover the cost of those who refuse to take responsibility for their actions. It is the failure to exercise any self-control that has caused the health care problem in our country along with most other democratic nations. The failure of the individual to take responsibility for their own actions has allowed the liberal elitist to use political correctness to take over democratic nations and change them into socialist nations with power and control maintained by these same elitist.
The only real hope for our nations now rest within the Church, but without a spiritual awaking and Godly living from the pulpit to the pews the churches influence on society will continue to wane. We need to repent and turn to the Light so that God will hear our prayers and save our nations and their people.
Some choose to put their trust in government, but I choose to put mine in God. What about you, what is your choice?

Happy

Happy are the merciful because they will be given mercy.
Happy are the mild mannered, they will inherit the earth.
Happy are those who mourn because they will be comforted.
Happy are those who are humble in spirit, for they will know the kingdom of Heaven.
Happy are those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness for they will receive full satisfaction of life.
Happy are the clean of heart because they will see God.
Happy are the peacemakers because they will be known as children of God
Happy are those who are hated and falsely accused because of their love and service to God. They will receive a great reward in Heaven.
Happy are those who are persecuted because they live a righteous lifestyle for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.
Happy are those who trust in God.
Happy are those who help the helpless for they will be delivered in their time of trouble.
Happy are those who give rather than those who seek to receive.
Happy are those who read and understand the word of God.
Are you happy?
Being happy is a choice, choose to know God and allow him to change you from the inside out and you will be happy.

Not so free

"Free" things from the government. Food stamps/coupons, products, clothing, fuel assistance to pay power bills, special operator assistance for the hard of hearing, court attorneys, interpreters for those who can not speak English, but want additional "free" government services. Did I mention "free" rent or at least subsidized housing, "free" health clinics/health care, "free" phone service, unemployment payments, "free" medical transport service, "free" preschool through high school, transportation to and from the school along with any extra school events also provided. "Free" TV and radio broadcast stations, how about the "free" income payments or the websites to tell you about all of the "free" government money and/or services available you might not know about. Then of course corporate subsidizes, so there will be employees to produce things or service that no one wants, and the list goes on and on ... I have listed enough, sure you can think of some more "free" stuff on your own.
Is it any wonder that our nations are being overwhelmed with trillions in debt and taxes on everything including some of the "free" stuff. How long before there is a living/breathing tax to do along with the death tax. The majority of the people have been so brainwashed that they believe anything the government does or gives out is actually free. You must wonder if they think it grows on some special government money trees and government employees just go out each day and pick the money needed, or maybe they think it is just printed up for daily use as needed. They must also be part of the crowd who believe if the government is involved it must be better, no fraud, waste or abuse allowed.
Now if you still believe common sense is alive and well in the democratic countries, you probably do not realize that understanding along with wisdom are also in short supply. Wisdom and understanding are God given. So since we live in a me first time that explains why lack thereof as no one is asking God for either. Sorry to be the messenger of the bad news. The "free" government education does seem to be lacking something...like truth and reality. But there is still hope for those who will turn and seek God. He will be found by all who truly search, it was He who provided the way in the Bible.

Old pandemic....

Blindness is the real pandemic throughout the world. This old pandemic is far worse than any virus or other germs. People have chosen to walk in darkness for so long that their sight has become so dim that they are almost blind. Light continues to shine but in these dark times, their are not many who want to believe that the light really exist. The lighted path to an abundant life is a strange foreign concept to many. What they think about the light is that it hurts their eyes making them uncomfortable with thoughts of being accountable for their decisions. Acceptance of the light requires change on our part so many would rather allow their sight to fall into complete blindness. With blindness the light will not bother them any longer and they can be content to do their own thing without feeling guilty. There is always a way that seems right to mankind but the end of it always leads to destruction. It is written ..that light came into the world and men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. Light reproves those whose deeds are to serve their own interest and the lust of the flesh. However some will turn to the light and look for the truth of God. If we desire to come to the light so that we can have forgiveness for our sin, God will grant us faith so we can be healed. For the only cure for this blindness, find the book that contains the formula to receive your sight. That book is the Bible. Read it carefully, and start with the 21 chapters of John and expand from there. May you have faith to receive your sight not only for this life but for eternity. Once you have received your sight you will never want to be blind again. This will offend some, I understand as I too was once blind. But since being healed and receiving my sight, I must care enough to at least share the cure.

Myth or Fact

Global Warming the drum beat of the left along with their allies in the media and financial opportunist like Al Gore have made an effective team in presenting this myth as a fact. Issues like the revealed UN e-mails covering up evidence that would disprove man made warming are dismissed. The 1970's warning of a coming global ice age which was projected by the same "science" models now being used, equals the real inconvenient truth of our day. Remember the media supported that "scientific" position also. Watch as Climate change is now becoming the PC word for 2010 to get around the problem that no matter what people do they can not cause a lasting effect on our planets temperature. Freon has bitten the dust due to the false science and it will be interesting to see who the cap & trade con will allow to be enriched at the expense of average people. These groups that would laugh at the Bible teaching of demons have set up their own demon in the form of global warming/climate change.
Another ongoing myth is the one teaching evolution which has so permeated our society that it is presented as "scientific" fact when in actuality the evidence is overwhelming to the contrary. The real problem here is that no one has come up with a replacement for the origins of man, except for Divine Creation as taught in the Bible. However this is unacceptable to the elites and progressives because of the ramifications of that truth.
Some other Myths supported by governments and societies "leaders" are:
Government controlled health care will save money and provide better health care. Increasing tax burden on citizens will lower unemployment rate & help the economy of a nation. Spending more money is best way to lower national debt.(Appears to be the Greek way. How is that working out?)
Keep your eyes and mind open as there are many more myths out there and can be detected if you will look for the hidden agendas of those pushing the idea. A dead give away is when they oppose any opposition to their agenda by trying to demonize any who question their positions. As they turn off the lights, become light for those around you that others may be able to escape the darkness.

Someone thinks …..well you get the idea and if you are concerned with what someone thinks, or if that someone is you, then you will miss the most important decision you need to make. The bottom line is this, if the Bible is the word of God and you decide to reject it because you think that is not what you have been taught or you do not know many if any who do believe. You should at least study the Bible from perspective of what if it is in truth the word of God. God who loves you and allowed His son Jesus the Christ to die for our sins so we would not have to pay the price. At least if you choose wrong you would know what to expect for eternity. Life is short and few if any know the date of their death. Choose well because God will honor your choice for eternity. Yes, I know this will upset those who do not wish to consider the cost of being wrong but I must at least challenge you to consider the cost of not being right. If the Bible is the word of God and Jesus is the only way to Heaven how would that affect your decision? In the end what God thinks is all that will matter. Okay I know the dark times in which we live so at least read the first 3 chapters of Genesis and then the book of John from the new testament. You owe yourself that much at least. May God give you faith and understanding.

The Rest of the Story on Blog hopping

On 2-18-10 my post on blog hopping I noted that I had "been blog hopping over the past few weeks and reading blogs from around the world or at least the ones in English. I have been surprised to see how many people share their thoughts and family photos. But I have also noticed how many people are lonely, hurting, or starved for attention. For some I stop to leave comments so they will know they are important to God and let them know He loves them and His son Jesus died for our sins. I also try to encourage them to read the Bible starting with book of John.
Now you wonder why I mention this, right. Well I want to encourage those who know Jesus as Lord to set a goal of at least leaving one comment on someones blog each day you get on internet and encourage that person to seek God's plan for their life and to read the Bible. Pray for that person and allow God to do the rest. Just think because of the internet you can touch the lives of people all around the world if you are willing to take the time to care. May God bless you and your efforts to shine light in a dark world."
Now you may wonder why I just quoted my own post, well the reason is it was the major reason for my last post titled "Honor Free Will Choice". I recently was made aware of several issue points that I should have included in that post for anyone who was going to take up the challenge that I had made back on 2-18-10. Because if you do not leave comments for the right reason then it would be a waste of time and you would be better off doing something else with your time. It is not about us but about caring for others and pleasing God who gave up His son to suffer and die for us while we were still sinners. It is that kind of love that we need to have for others. My time has been really tight this week so this was only post for the week. May God give you light for your journey.

Honor Free Will Choice

What a time to be alive. If you take time out of your daily schedule to reach out to others for no other reason than the fact they are important and loved by God Himself, you can offend someone just for caring. Therefore you must take care not to be upset if you are rejected or misunderstood. People have been given a freewill by God and other than showing them love, along with the other side of the story as provided by God in the Bible, we must allow them to make their own choices and it is not our job to choose for them. We should continue to care about people and pray for them while also honoring their request to be left alone. Each person is special and of equal importance no matter their age, race, nationality, or gender. So provide information about the word of God and that His son died for our sins so we would not have to pay the price. But if not received eagerly, that is okay, if person has questions and wants your help in getting answers, always be ready to help but if just want to be left alone then be ready to do that also. Never forget that if you have been changed by God, you also wanted space and had to come to God when you were ready to accept His love not when the person sharing the good news with you thought you should. Yes, part of having been created in the image of God includes having a free will to choose how we will live our lives and even if we want to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord. The Bible tells us that there are two pathways and where they end, but we must allow people to choose for themselves and not get down because people choose wide path. God states that few will take the narrow path that leads to eternal life with Him. Be a light on that narrow path so others may see it and some will turn and change paths, but always honor their choice since God will, who are we not to respect their decision. Just pray, love and be light for those you come into contact with. We have not been called to be popular just faithful.

Wonder why

Through out history there have always been those who believe that they are superior to those around them. Some by birth as in the caste system of India, some by religion such as those who follow Islam controlling most of the Middle East, others by their progressive ideas which can be seen throughout much of Europe and North America. They all have in common the desire for power, influence and control over society, seeking to put down those who disagree with them or fail to accept their ideas as divine. They endeavor to control the educational systems teaching their doctrines as the only acceptable thought and as real truth. There are no absolutes except theirs and dissent is not welcome nor tolerated. They are quick to project their faults onto those who dare question or expose their ideas as being unsupported by any evidence. They name call, label or otherwise personally attack those who dare even question their positions, rather then defend their positions with logic, facts, or any type of common sense rationale. They seek to stifle debate and limit speech that does not follow their dogma. Destroy dissent by any means possible is always their mindset.
Let me challenge you to watch what is occurring in our world, listen not only to what is said but how it is presented. Do not accept news media reports as complete truth, but remember who controls them and beware. Who is seen as the provider of the needs of people, government or a free people themselves under God. Are our rights to freely worship God seen as unchangeable or is it a right controlled by government. Is open debate encouraged or discouraged. Is the evidence from the Bible given full consideration or dismissed. The fool has said there is no God and believes that everything that exist is by chance and came from nothing. Always remember the source providing information and on what it is based.
The richest nations in the world have the most suicides, most mental health problems, the most self-centered and ungrateful people. Do you ever wonder why.

Small window

A review of history reflects that with the rise of career politicians in democratic nations there has come higher and higher taxation as government has expanded and political power has become concentrated into the hands of elites. Free market principals which permitted average citizens to advance their economic conditions, has given way to ever increasing government control and more taxes to pay for the increasing social programs and government departments to run them. The citizens have grown more and more dependent on the government to provide for them rather than taking personal responsibility for themselves and depending only on God to assist them and their families. Little by little laws have been passed to take more and more of our peoples freedoms, financial resources, and Independence until personal intuitive has been muted. The final piece of the puzzle to insure there would be no turning back was the institution of national health care. This locked the people in to total dependence on the government from birth to the grave and allowed the elite to control who gets what level of care, playing "god". Taxation now secure and the progressives in firm control of not only government but also of our people themselves. Few noticed and even fewer cared. Today once great nations are decaying from within suffering from spiritual apathy, moral relativism, high rates of unemployment, excessive taxation and thanks to the socialist programs,(other than for the connected social elites) only one step ahead of mutually shared poverty.
In spite of this democratic nations have increasingly elected leaders who are intent on following the socialist model. People have discovered that they can vote in those who will take from the "rich" and use the taxes (legally stolen money) to benefit them or their families. With each new social program or government funded project, comes not only an increased tax burden, but staggering national debt. Too many are blinded to the fact that debt is simply the mortgaging of the future(including children & grandchildren) for immediate gratification. The cost of each spent borrowed dollar is another freedom lost, as with all debt there comes the enviable day it must be repaid. When the default comes there is no filing for bankruptcy court protection only the prospect of runaway inflation, and anarchy with the collapse of world economy. We have traveled far down the road of no return, the progressives knew they needed but one more thing to insure no return and that was for the USA to pass National Health Care. Once that happened America would become as weak and ineffective as the nations of Europe (this has been passed in the USA and there is small window of time before it is locked into place). Social medicine, high unemployment will lock once independent citizens into complete dependence on the government from the cradle to the grave. "Freedom" will be controlled by the social elites who believe they are much smarter than the normal citizens who they think are just one step ahead of monkeys anyway. The Bible instructs us to pray for those in authority and in the nations who have elected leaders there is no one to blame but ourselves, not only have we not prayed but we actually voted in those who are enslaving us. May God grant us sight and the good sense to repent and pray for God to open the hearts of the people that they might seek His help before it is to late.

Are You Free?

It is written that who ever commits sin is the servant of sin.(John8:34) All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.(Romans 3:23) We are all like an unclean thing and our goodness is like a filthy rag.(Isa. 64:6) Even if we tried to keep the whole law of God but failed in one point we would be guilty of breaking the law.(James 2:10) Beware many say they are going to make it to Heaven but... There is a way that seems right to many but the end are the ways of death.(Prov. 14:12) It is not by the "good" deeds we have done, but according to the mercy of God we are saved.(Titus 3:5) Only one way... Jesus said that He was the way, the truth, and the life, no one can come to God but by Him.(John 14:6) So why did Jesus die since He was God in the flesh? Sin is so vile to God that the only acceptable payment is shedding of blood through death which then will provide the remission of sin.(Heb. 9:22) Everyone will give an account to God for how they have lived.(Romans 14:12) No one escapes death.....It is appointed unto men once to die, but after that there is Judgment.(Heb. 9:27) The payment for sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life Through the Lord Jesus Christ.(Romans 6:23)
Now you may say that you do not believe that and no one can force you to make a decision. Besides that you believe that you are as "good" as just about everyone else anyway. However it is written that those who do not believe on Jesus as the only way to Heaven are already condemned, due to failure to believe in Jesus the only begotten son of God.(John 3:18) Everyone who does not repent of their sins and ask God to forgive them will perish.(Luke 13:3) You have been given opportunity to chose who you will serve... God or sin. Ask God to give you the faith to believe, the wisdom to understand and the boldness to accept Jesus the Christ as your Lord. Choose well as life is short and eternity is forever...you can not afford to be wrong.... May you chose to be set free from your sin through the free gift of salvation God has provided by the death of His on son. Although the gift is free you alone must accept it for yourself. Chose freedom!

Sight even for the darkness

Ever know anything to be changed by worrying about it other than negative effect on your health. To many will allow themselves to be stressed out about things they can not control. Not enough time is the drum beat and fatigue is constant companion that pulls us down. How many will look, but not see or just run to and fro with no real place to go. Wisdom and peace are in short supply in our time and to many do not know how to find them. This is its an everything is acceptable time, except for 1 book that people want to ban or otherwise remove from public discourse. This one scary book is the Bible. It seems to strike fear in the hearts of the elites, progressives, and others in academia. If just a book what is the big deal with it being read, studied or discussed. I wonder if the problem is simply that to many are concerned that it may be true. If true an accounting for how we have lived and what we have done with that truth will be very uncomfortable.(understatement) We would be held accountable for failure to repent from our sins and accept God's forgiveness. God wants to change us from inside out so we can have an abundant life. Apparently a very scary concept for those who seek power, fame and money. They do not believe in prayer while praying they are not wrong. The Bible talks about dark days and warns us of the signs of the times, all need faith in order to see. May God grant you sight to see in the dark times and faith to allow Him to change you through faith in His son Jesus the Christ. Grab a Bible and read it to see why so many are afraid of it....

Started why?

The following organizations that assist people all over the world have one thing in common. They provide humanitarian aid and/or help without respect of anything other than need, but that is the result not the motivation for their ministry of help.
Red Cross, Prison Fellowship(Angel Tree), World Help, World Vision, Child Fund Int, Samaritan's Purse, Rotary Int, YMCA, YWCA, Habitat for Humanity, The Salvation Army, Gideons Int, Missionaries of Charity, Hopegivers Int, Aglow Int, Living Dreams Physical Therapy, Compassion Int, Mercy Ships, Children's Hunger Fund, Covenant House, Medical Teams Int, Missionaries of the Poor, etc. (I could go on but you get the idea.) They were all started by Christians who believed that as followers of Jesus Christ they should show the Love of God to all people. Since their hearts had been changed they wanted to be the answer to a need that God had revealed to them. Not for money, fame or prestige just simply to honor God by loving people without regard for themselves. Think about what the world would be like if there had been no Christ to change the hearts of people to care about something other than themselves.
A depressing thought, a world without real love.

Lukewarm profile....

Lukewarm people usually choose what is popular over what is right when the two conflict. Lukewarm people don't want to be changed just saved from penalty for their sin if there is a Hell. Lukewarm people are moved by stories about people who do radical things because of their faith in Jesus as Christ, but they do not seek to have that type of relationship with God, and sometimes they may just question the motivation. Lukewarm people vote and will even attend church services. Lukewarm people will give money to charity and even put money in church offering plates as long as it doesn't affect their life style. Lukewarm people are usually uncomfortable talking about faith and the need for forgiveness for our sins or talking about church, unless they are in church. Lukewarm people tend to compare themselves to others who are not as "good" as they are. Lukewarm people may say they believe in God or Jesus but make sure they do not become too "religious". Lukewarm people may even say they love God, but do not let that "love" control how they live their lives. Lukewarm people may believe they love others, but never more than themselves. Lukewarm people may even try to serve God, but always try to ensure that they don't overdo it. Lukewarm people tend to think about how to live for now rather than thinking about what happens after death. Lukewarm people enjoy their luxuries and comforts rather than adjusting their lifestyle so they can increase their help for the less fortunate. Lukewarm people will do whatever is necessary to keep from feeling guilty or to look good. Lukewarm people tend to want to control their lives even if they can not control those around them. Lukewarm people tend to have a false feeling of security by being part of whatever is the current socially acceptable thought on issues. Lukewarm people do not want to live by faith or accept things if it takes faith in anything that requires too much change. Lukewarm people may try to drink and swear less than average so they can be comfortable in feeling they are okay. Now the real question is are you a lukewarm person? Are you willing to allow God to change you so that you will live a life on fire, affecting those around you for good while honoring God? Take your Bible and read the book of John. Ask God to give you faith to be changed from the inside out. Live a life that is on fire, do not waste it being a lukewarm person.
