Gays in Military

The president of USA with great fanfare signed the repeal of "don't ask don't tell" military policy in effect for about 17 years. Our president(with the help of political progressives in the congress) has made it his mission to reduce the USA from being a super power in world affairs to just a regular class nation. History has shown that every national power that has allowed itself to fall into moral decay has collapsed into 2nd class status or worse. The USA has been on path of steady decline for almost 2 decades. Our military had been hanging on by a thread due to the social experimentation it has had to endure. That thread has now been openly cut and it will be interesting to see not only how long it takes to fall but how far.(We have a good example in looking at the military of Israel who went down this same path.) The legacy of this president will surpass all who have come before and all who follow. He has ruined our economy, destroyed the health care system, bankrupted the nation, destroyed the equal protection provisions of our laws, enslaved our people to a dependency on government programs and for good measure insured the demise of our military. The amazing thing is that he was able to accomplish all this in just 2 years. Now the real problem is that the majority of our elected officials were happy to assist in the national suicide and our people have become so self centered that all they really care about is doing their own thing and did not care until it affected their money. The day grows short and darkness has just about engulfed our land attacking any sources of real light left. If one listens close with discernment they can hear the currently faint sound of taps rolling across our land.
The only hope left is that something will occur to cause our nations people to repent and turn to God before there is no light to show the way. May those who have been changed from the inside out pray that our nation be given a 2nd chance if our people do repent and seek the face of God. Pray!

Only in the good old USA?

Over the past weeks I found it very interesting to hear the politicians and news media along with many average people talking about the extension of the "Bush" tax cuts. The primary focus was that the "rich people" should not be given money that the government needed to spend on it's budget items. Now needless to say the government has no money other than what it takes from the people and there is no giving "rich people" money it is simply not taking as much as they used to take before the cut in tax rates. The cut in income tax rates spurs economic growth since it encourages more people to risk their funds in starting new businesses or investing in established ones which allows businesses to expand and/or modernize so they can continue to operate thereby providing jobs. The other big item was the death tax, whereby the government gets to legally steal most of the inheritance of the deceased persons already taxed assets leaving a few crumbs for the family members. It was not the intent of the deceased to have the government steal and waste the inheritance but for their family to enjoy the benefit of the efforts made to be able to have assets to make life a little better for their loved ones.
It truly does look like commonsense and reason are in short supply in our nation but than again what should we expect when most of our people have been "educated" in government run school systems. The tax cuts were extended but for only two years so the politicians will try again to raise taxes and legally steal not only more of our peoples money but also their self respect. For you see how can anyone have true self respect when they have been made dependent on government programs for every aspect of their life. Well maybe not only in the USA, how does your country stack up?

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Our today for a large part is a result of the decisions that were made yesterday. Just like the choices we make today will affect our tomorrows. If we do not like how things are going for us today then we need to learn from the decisions that have been made that have resulted in the things we do not like about today. In short if we have taken the paths of least resistance trying to get ahead without hard work and looking outside of ourselves for direction we limit what we will accomplish. If we choose to make excuses for our circumstances or blame others than we lock ourselves into tomorrows that will be no better than the today that we do not like.
To have a different tomorrow we need to change our actions today and make decisions that history has shown to work time and time again so there will be no need for excuses tomorrow. However it will take time as there are no quick fixes to overcome the bad decisions made in the past. We have to change direction while still hindered by prior poor choices. With time the ramifications of past decisions will fade. Be patient for in due time the new decisions will overcome the past and we will be on target for a changed tomorrow. A lot of good can be undone much quicker than a little slacking and poor choices.
Commit to take new direction with divine help and Godly counsel to overcome past choices in best time frame possible. Remember will not be easy and time length will be dependent on how far off the past decisions were. As long as there is breath there is hope. The start to a better tomorrow begins with a personal relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ today.

What if..

This post is being written to challenge the reader's thought process as we approach Christmas. As you read ask yourself the question if this is true what should my response be.
JESUS CARES FOR YOU AND HE DIED TO SET YOU FREE. ARE YOU FREE?

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12)
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, ....(Titus 3:5)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the Truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by me. (John 14:6)
WHY DID JESUS DIE?
Everyone of us shall give an account of himself unto God. (Romans 14:12)
It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Almost all things are by the law purged with blood and without shedding of blood is no remission. (Hebrew 9:22)
WHAT MUST I DO?
If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:19)
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)
If the son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:26)
BUT?
I tell you, nay: but except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3)
He that believeth on him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God. (John 3:18)
Choose you this day whom ye will serve. (Joshua 24:15)
The choice boils down to either choosing the plan that God has prepared for us so we are no longer controlled by sin and get to spent eternity with him in Heaven. Or we choose not to believe and have to pay the price for our sin which is death and will result in spending eternity separated from God.
Now you may say that you do not believe any of the above and therefore will be okay based on whatever,....but what if you are wrong, do you really want to pay the price. Think about it and why someone like me who does not like to type, would care about where you get to spend eternity when I do not know you and receive nothing except scorn for sharing the above. Go figure and may you come to the Truth.

Two thought processes

If a conservative believes seat belts save lives he wears one while riding in a vehicle.
If a liberal/progressive likes seat belts, he wants laws requiring them and penalties for not doing so.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a liberal/progressive is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative thinks certain foods are not healthy, he does not eat them.
If a liberal/progressive thinks certain foods are not healthy, he tries to have the food banned from restaurants and store shelves.
If a conservative is home schooling his child, he quietly pays his taxes for the public/government school system.
If a liberal/progressive has a child in public/government school, he demands higher taxes and the right to home school chilren be abolished.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he works to better his situation.
A liberal/progressive who is down-and-out wonders what government program is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
But Liberals/progressives demand that those that are not politically correct be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal/progressive non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a false religion, of course!)
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he buys it or finds a job that provides it.
But a liberal/progressive demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a conservative reads this, he'll have a good laugh.
A liberal/progressive will want this censored or deleted because he's "offended" by it.
So if you do not believe this post should be removed you may be a conservative. If you dislike this post pointing out the difference in thought processes between the two, then you are currently a liberal/progressive. Now I used the word currently because I know people can be changed and even if you're a conservative that is not what will matter in eternity. God has a plan for us so we will be able to spend eternity with Him. See John chapter 3 in the Bible to see how to be changed from the inside out.

Time for Thanks

In USA this day is set aside as thanksgiving day and most of retail and commercial businesses are closed along with all levels of government offices. It is nice to take time to reflect on the many things there are to be grateful for. Our nation is still a leader in freedoms enjoyed by our people, we are a nation where no one has to go hungry and shelter is available for all regardless of a lack of financial resources to pay. Health care services are available for all even if unable to pay, free dental clinics abound. Those who have good health, a job, decent housing, investments, savings accounts and private transportation are numerous. Although these things are nice and we should be grateful for them there are other things that are even more important. Our families, freedom to assemble together to worship God, true friends that care about us and that we can call on in time of need. But most of all that God who created us loves us and allowed His son Jesus the Christ to pay the price for our sins so we would not have to and gave a free will to choose to accept or reject His love....Now that is real Love. May all who read this find peace for their journey through life.

Not? Offended...

Have you ever noticed that no one gets offended when someone tries to sell them a product or service. They do not get offended if someone offers them something to drink that could cause them to vomit or have a headache the next morning. They do not get offended when someone offers them something to smoke that could lead to cancer. They do not get offended if a "gay" person demands others accept their lifestyle and pick up the resulting health care tab. They do not get offended when the media makes fun of or puts down a person of faith. They do not get offended by cursing and foul language in public or over the airwaves. They do not get offended by public funds being used to promote anti-family values. They do not get offended by those who would remove the word Christmas and replace it with the holiday season. They do not get offended when Judges do not follow the law they swore to uphold. They are not offended by the debase or crude conduct being accepted in our society.
Their motto is live and let live, everyone should be free to do their own thing with out someone silencing or putting them down. But.............I forgot there is an exception. If you care enough about others to go out of your way to reach out and attempt to help them out of their problems or spend time warning others that there are consequences for life choices... And you do this because you are a follower of the son of God Jesus Christ watch out you will be attacked, put down, laughed at, scorned, shouted down or otherwise silenced no matter the cost. The darkness that surrounds our time has become so thick that few what to hear about Light for living their lives and even fewer look for the Light so they may see. Many believe and place their hope in the darkness, they do not want to hear, see or be challenged by Truth or what is to come..... Ever wonder why that is?

What is real Love

Love is always kind, is not jealous nor does it brag. Love is not prideful, arrogant, self-serving or rude. Love is not irritable, selfish, and does not hold grudges. Love is not easily offended or demand to have its own way. Love is patient and always is willing to give the benefit of any doubt rather than be offended. Love regrets any injustice and rejoices when truth prevails. Love bears all, is full of hope, faith and trust in that which is right.
Love will never fail or die, it is unchanging and forever. When all is lost, Love will still be available for it can not be lost. Faith Hope and Love are all gifts from God and will sustain all who embrace them. May you experience and your life be full of real Love. To know God is to know real Love.

Election is over now what

Many are excited by the big gains by GOP in national elections, but reality is all they can do is slow down the march to socialism. With senate still controlled by Dems, the President will not allow any undoing of the last couple of years of government take over of much of the private sector. Those who continue to place their faith in political leaders for real change and a turn around in the job and housing market will be disappointed. The next thing that can not be avoided is inflation which will only add misery to those who managed to escape the current hard times, while doubling down on those who are already in financial hard times. So what is left do we just give up and accept the fall into a second rate country. There is another choice which is that we finally humble ourselves and pray seeking God and turn from our wicked ways. Then God will hear and forgive our sin and heal our land. Hope is within reach but humbling ourselves before God will not be easy for a nation who has worked so hard to remove knowledge of God from our society. Not to late yet but will be sooner than we think. Seek God now while there is still time that our land may be healed.

Election hope?

USA is facing midterm elections and people are fired up, with many hoping to undo the mistakes of the last two elections. They are hoping for some more change to replace the change that has been endured since the last election. The real problem is the basic selfishness of the majority of the people, too many want change that will not affect them, just the neighbors. This attitude has resulted in the death of reason and commonsense. Our people have turned from God and now look to political leaders to solve our problems. The heart of the matter is that it is the political leaders along with the me first attitude that has brought us record unemployment, debt and an economy on the verge of collapse. Gay marriage and gays openly serving in military are not the problem but just some symptoms of the spiritual darkness of our time. Those who place their hope in the elections rather than repenting and turning to God will reap more disappointments and change that will not correct our nations slide into the mutually shared poverty that is socialism. Our people do need to vote but they also must pray for God to heal our land so that we can again become a land of hope and a light for the rest of the world. Real hope is in God alone through Jesus the Christ.
